Job description

Are you an experienced Tender & Contracts Specialist looking to join a global MedTech organisation and play a key role supporting healthcare customers across Australia and New Zealand?

This is a highly collaborative role working across Sales, Marketing, Legal and multiple business units, with responsibility for tender coordination, customer contract management and commercial support across both public and private healthcare.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a global medical technology organisation operating across a broad portfolio of products and solutions within the healthcare sector.

With an established presence across ANZ, the business works closely with healthcare providers and procurement stakeholders across both public and private markets. The environment is highly cross-functional, with commercial teams working closely across Sales, Marketing, Legal and business units to support customer requirements and contractual commitments.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established MedTech organisation in a role that sits at the intersection of tenders, contracts, procurement and commercial operations.

THE ROLE:

As the Senior Tender & Contract Specialist, you will manage and coordinate tender and contract activity across a portfolio of healthcare customers throughout ANZ.

You will be a key point of contact for external procurement stakeholders, working closely with internal Sales, Marketing, Legal and business teams to coordinate submissions, provide commercial guidance and ensure customer agreements are appropriately managed.

This role suits someone who combines commercial judgement with strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines in a complex environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the end-to-end tender process, including opportunity identification, preparation, coordination, submission and post-tender activity.
  • Review customer procurement requirements and provide commercial input to support bid/no-bid decisions and tender planning.
  • Coordinate responses to customer clarification and negotiation requests, ensuring the right internal stakeholders are involved.
  • Prepare and coordinate tender documentation and supporting materials for internal review and approval.
  • Work directly with customer procurement stakeholders, including participating in meetings and discussions throughout the tender and contracting process.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review and management of customer contracts, agreements, extensions and variations.
  • Review contractual requirements and identify terms that fall outside standard positions, working with Legal and relevant internal stakeholders where required.
  • Ensure contract changes and variations are accurately documented, approved and completed within required timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, repositories, trackers and key lifecycle information, including upcoming expirations and variations.
  • Provide contract and tender reporting, updates and relevant commercial information to Sales, Marketing and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support customer and internal business review meetings and facilitate communication across the relevant teams.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives designed to improve the efficiency and consistency of tender and contract management.
  • Provide support across the broader team when required, ensuring continuity across tender and contract activity.
ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for an experienced tender and contracts professional who can operate confidently across a complex, highly regulated environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in tender management, contracts or a related commercial role.
  • Experience managing tenders through preparation, submission, clarification and post-tender stages.
  • Practical experience with customer contracts, agreements, extensions and variations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of customer procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Legal and commercial teams.
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems is highly regarded.
  • Experience with commercial contract, pricing or agreement management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. A degree in Business, Law, Commerce or a related discipline is preferred.
CULTURE & BENEFITS
  • Join a global MedTech organisation with a broad healthcare customer base across ANZ.
  • Work across a varied portfolio of tender, procurement and contract activity.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Legal and multiple business units.
  • Gain exposure to complex healthcare procurement and customer contracting processes.
  • Opportunity to further develop your expertise across the tender and contract lifecycle within a global organisation.
