Senior Telecommunications Engineer (Cabling/Links) based in Brisbane, Melbourne Canberra or Sydney, you will lead the design, sustainment and modernisation of Airservices Australia's telecommunications infrastructure, supporting critical operational services relied upon by Air Traffic Control and Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services nationwide.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting structured fibre/optical cabling infrastructure and microwave links.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure solutions.
• Strong systems engineering capability, including experience with change control and technical governance processes.
• Experience leading technical investigations, analysing complex issues and delivering practical solutions.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, standards, specifications and engineering reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work independently and provide high-quality technical advice with minimal supervision.
• An understanding of the requirements of operating within a 24/7, safety-critical environment.
• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
