Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer (Cabling/Links) based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra or Sydney to design, sustain and modernise national telecommunications infrastructure critical to Air Traffic Control and Rescue services.

You will lead modernisation of structured fibre and cabling, microwave links, and related telecom systems, applying lifecycle engineering and governance to deliver safe, reliable networks across the aviation sector.

Qualifications

Engineering degree and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in structured fibre/optical cabling and microwave links.
Eligible to obtain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance.
Experience designing and implementing cabling and telecommunications solutions.
Strong systems engineering capability including change control.

Responsibilities

Design, sustainment and modernisation of Airservices Australia's telecoms infrastructure.
Lead complex investigations and provide specialist advisory to projects.
Support system integrity, governance and technology change management.
Contribute to national network modernisation programs for aviation operations.
Deliver high-quality engineering documentation and reports.
