Job summary

Royal Automobile Club of WA Inc. is seeking a Senior Auto Technician for our Canning Vale Service Centre to perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on member vehicles. You will support the Team Leader and mentor apprentices within a busy, values-driven workshop.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician (Post Apprenticeship/Trade Certificate).
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and repair expertise.
• Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence; Motor Vehicle Repair Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair a variety of light vehicles in your own dedicated workspace.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, documenting progress and outcomes.
• Mentor apprentices and fellow technicians, contributing to a skilled and collaborative team.
• Step up as a Second-in-Charge (2IC) to support your Team Leader when needed.
• Handle breakdowns on vehicles brought into the centre, sharpening your problem-solving skills.
