Teaching & Research Technical Services is seeking a Senior Technical Support Officer, Digital Media to provide specialist technical support for teaching and research in Visual Communication and Design, with a particular focus on interactive digital media.
The Senior Technical Support Officer will support practical classes, laboratories and studios by preparing equipment, materials and teaching spaces, while assisting staff and students to use specialist technologies safely and effectively.
The role will support projects spanning interface design, digital publishing, web development, animation, app development and interactive design. This includes providing technical guidance across Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Figma, Unity 2D, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Apache web servers, phpMyAdmin and MySQL.
The Senior Technical Support Officer, Digital Media will also maintain digital media facilities, software, equipment and Unity project templates. Using sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills, the role will manage competing technical priorities, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support safe, reliable learning and research environments.
