Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking an experienced IT Architect to promote enterprise architecture standards and coordinate technical solution delivery across large-scale projects. You will document, implement and govern security, network and server configurations while liaising with stakeholders to ensure reliable outcomes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to work in a high-performance team and a background in managing complex IT changes within public sector environments.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and standardise enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience with security gateways, server management and ITIL-based delivery.
  • Ability to assess complex IT changes and plan implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and applies enterprise IT standards and architectures on project deliverables.
  • Coordinates build, documentation and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Maintains knowledge of technical specialties and advises on their use.
  • Supports development and governance of enterprise standards and procedures.
  • Plans and assesses risks, change management, capacity and continuity activities.

What you'll doPromotes and utilises appropriate IM/ICT standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application of these on project deliverables.Coordinates the build, documentation and implementation of technical solutions with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworksInstallation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipmentMaintains an in-depth knowledge of technical specialties and provides sound advice and recommendations regarding their applicationSupport the development, publication, implementation and compliance of project deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise levelUndertake the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of specific components in proposed implementationsProvide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably in the ITIL frameworkAbout youWe are searching for someone who has:Proven ability to participate in a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation. (SFIA Code: ARCH 5; METL 5)High level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technology domain (SFIA: TECH 5)Palo Alto Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Solutions;Network Security and Firewall Management;Microsoft and Unix Server ManagementWindows 10Demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
