About the position
The role ensures laboratory and simulation activities are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with relevant Health & Safety and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include preparing, setting up and packing down equipment, coordinating timetabled and ad hoc activities, supporting teaching staff with equipment use, and maintaining laboratory resources and consumables.
The position also provides guidance to staff on laboratory procedures, monitors stock levels, coordinates ordering, and ensures equipment and resources are available to support teaching activities.
A key focus of the role is supervising and rostering laboratory support staff to ensure consistent service delivery and operational coverage. As a central point of contact for staff, the position plays an important role in the smooth and responsive delivery of laboratory services and may also provide support to clinical laboratory activities across the Clinical Schools when required.

This role supports the undergraduate laboratory practical classes and therefore the successful applicant will need to be available to work 7 hrs 15 mins, between the hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm. This will be rostered on a rotational basis.
