Job summary

Village Roadshow Ltd is seeking a Senior Technical Officer to manage technical projects at Movie World, Oxenford, Gold Coast. Based at Warner Bros. Movie World, you will coordinate stakeholders and ensure compliant, safe outcomes across the asset lifecycle.

You will prepare technical documentation, lead change activities, and support project delivery with a focus on safety and quality in a high-visibility entertainment environment. This is a full-time role at a major theme park group.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering technical projects through planning, design, procurement, implementation and handover.
• Knowledge of change management, risk assessment, design review, testing and commissioning processes.
• Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and reports.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, manuals and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project/asset management systems.
• Experience in safety-critical environments is highly regarded.

The Opportunity

Ready to help shape the future of our attractions and infrastructure? As a Senior Technical Officer, you will manage and deliver technical projects and technical changes, ensuring safe, compliant and effective outcomes throughout the project and asset lifecycle.

Based at Warner Bros. Movie World, you'll work closely with stakeholders, contractors, consultants and suppliers while supporting the delivery of projects, technical documentation and asset change activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing technical projects from planning through to implementation, commissioning, handover and close-out.
• Maintaining accurate and well-organized project and asset documentation.
• Leading technical change activities, including risk assessments, design reviews, approvals, testing and commissioning.
• Developing and maintaining procedures, work instructions, technical reports, training materials, toolbox talks and other maintenance documentation.
• Coordinating contractors, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities, manufacturers, engineering consultants and other external parties.
• Providing technical advice, troubleshooting and project support.
• Participating in Health and Safety programs as directed.
• Undertaking other reasonable duties within your qualifications, skills and expertise.

What We’re Looking For

• A relevant engineering, technical trade or equivalent qualification, or substantial industry experience.
• Experience delivering technical projects through planning, design, procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover.
• Knowledge of change management, risk assessment, design review, testing and commissioning processes.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, work instructions and reports.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, manuals, standards and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project, document and asset management systems.
• Experience within a theme park, entertainment, industrial, manufacturing or other safety-critical environment will be highly regarded.
