Job summary

AustCorp Executive is recruiting a Senior Technical Facilities / Contracts Manager in Melbourne to lead Hard & Soft FM services across multiple facilities. You will oversee maintenance, minor works, cleaning, grounds and pest control with a focus on reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.

Role involves leading a team of managers and frontline staff, managing budgets, and ensuring performance against KPIs. Prior hospital experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 8+ years facilities management experience.
• 5+ years leading managers and teams in Australia.
• Knowledge of Australian Codes, Standards and Regulations.
• Cert III in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or Fire Trade.
• Hospital or healthcare facility experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Managers, Corporate Services and Trades across Melbourne facilities.
• Lead teams delivering maintenance services, repair and minor works.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC plant.
• Oversee hospital sector related activities as applicable.
• Contribute to business transformation initiatives.
• Oversee contractor safety and compliance, including SWMS and risk protocols.
• Manage team and contractor performance against KPIs.
• Maintain contractual compliance via site inspections and quotes as required.
• Handle client requests and feedback with timely resolutions.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Produce accurate and timely reporting.

AustCorp is currently recruiting a Senior Technical Facilities / Contracts Manager in Melbourne ideally with hospital experience to lead the delivery of Hard & Soft FM Services including: - maintenance, repair and minor works services, along with grounds, cleaning & pest control to several facilities across Melbourne including Inner Northern Suburbs, ensuring building services plant and equipment is reliable, safe, compliant, and fully operational.

The Role

Lead and coordinate a Team of Managers, Corporate Services and Frontline staff delivering maintenance operations, minor works, cleaning, grounds and pest control while optimising asset performance, managing budgets and ensuring full compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Managers, Corporate Services, and Trades - direct and contractor staff across facilities in Melbourne Inner Northern Suburbs.


• You will lead Managers and teams delivering maintenance services, repair and minor works.


• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC Building Services plant.


• Prior hospital sector experience is highly regarded.


• Actively contribute to and support business transformation initiatives.


• Oversee contractor safety and compliance, including SWMS and adherence to the company's Risk Protocols.


• Proactively manage team and contractor performance, monitoring and driving key monthly KPIs.


• Maintain contractual compliance through site inspections, raising work orders or quotes as required.


• Manage client requests and feedback, delivering timely resolutions and clear communication.


• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.


• Completion of required Reporting accurately and on-time.

Requirements:

• Hold Full Australian Work Rights (no sponsorship available).


• Be able to secure a clear National Police Check and any Site-Specific Clearances


• Previously run P&L and growing business opportunities.


• Experience leading teams across large complex facilities: - University or Hospital is an advantage.


• Have a Cert III (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or Fire Trade).


• 8+ years Facilities Management experience, with at least 5 years' in running managers and teams in Australia, working to Australian Codes, Standards and Regulations.


• A valid Australian Driver's license


• Be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
