Job summary

Brunel in Sydney seeks a senior transmission engineering leader to guide high-voltage design and interfaces for a major NSW project. You will drive technical decisions and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across the delivery programme, ensuring quality and alignment with requirements.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in transmission, exposure to 330kV+ projects, and senior leadership experience. The role is hybrid with 2–3 days in the Sydney CBD, starting January 2027 for a ~3.5-year programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated leadership on 330kV+ transmission projects.
• Experience at Senior Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or Technical Director level.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across high-voltage transmission engineering and design.
• Guide technical decision-making and support delivery of 330kV+ transmission infrastructure.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines, design teams and technical interfaces.
• Review and manage technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Resolve complex engineering issues, risks and challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and teams to align on technical outcomes.
• Contribute senior input to governance, assurance and delivery activities.
