The Onset is seeking an experienced recruiter to navigate Australia’s fast-moving tech scene where Software Engineering and AI intersect. You’ll build credibility with engineering leaders, founders and scaling tech firms, with autonomy to shape a growing practice.

You’ll fit in if you have 4+ years of 360 recruitment experience, can define or own a niche in Engineering/Technology, and are motivated by long-term partnerships and market leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of 360 recruitment experience (ideally in Australia).
• Recruitment experience within Engineering or Technology.
• Strong business development and relationship management capability.
• A genuine interest in modern engineering and AI trends.
• Credibility with senior technical stakeholders.
• Ambition to build a market-leading practice.

Responsibilities

• Building strategic relationships with CTOs, Engineering Leaders and Founders.
• Recruiting across modern Software Engineering environments.
• Driving permanent and contract revenue growth.
• Developing long-term client partnerships across startup, scale-up and enterprise technology businesses.
• Contributing to the growth and direction of the broader Technology practice.
