Optiver is seeking a Technical Recruiter to lead end-to-end technology recruitment, partnering with engineering leaders to hire top talent in a fast-paced environment. You will leverage AI tools and data-driven sourcing to improve efficiency and outcomes.

You will thrive in a hybrid Australian setting, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies to build a high-performing technical workforce.

Qualifications

• Proven end-to-end experienced recruiter with a tech focus.
• Experience at leading tech or financial services/trading firms where tech recruitment was primary.
• Able to read CVs and GitHub profiles to assess technical depth.
• Hybrid-capable: can handle non-tech searches without losing edge.
• Early AI adopter with practical examples to lift efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment for technology roles: sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing.
• Flex into non-technology hires when needed.
• Build partnerships with engineering leaders, hiring managers and agencies.
• Design proactive ways to identify and engage passive technical talent.
• Embed AI into recruitment workflow using tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
• Coach and advise stakeholders on hiring processes and best practices.
• Use data to provide insight into pipeline health and inform decisions.
