Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Lawyer/Senior Lawyer to join the Technology Legal team and partner with the business on technology contracts and strategic supplier relationships. You will work on complex matters across technology, digital and cyber risk in a fast-paced environment.

You will review, draft, and lead negotiations while briefing senior stakeholders and guiding risk management. The role offers hybrid working and exposure to senior leaders, in a supportive team culture within the Westpac

Qualifications

6+ years PQE advising on complex technology, digital and cyber matters.
Strong capability across technology contracting, negotiation and legal risk management.
Confident in building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
Curiosity about AI, privacy, data and digital transformation technologies.
Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset balancing priorities while delivering high‑quality work.

Responsibilities

Reviewing, drafting, and leading negotiations on technology contracts and transactions.
Identifying and resolving legal issues and briefing stakeholders on key matters and status of negotiations.
Collaborating to support Westpac Group’s compliance with laws and internal policies, and risk strategy.
