Job summary

Senior Technology Business FinOps Officer at New South Wales Premier's Department in Sydney CBD is responsible for developing and managing financial operations, governance and reporting practices supporting informed decision-making and optimise technology investment.

You will oversee financial processes, governance, and the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, building strong stakeholder relationships and providing trusted advice across IT service delivery, operations, architecture and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and managing financial operations, governance, budgeting, forecasting and reporting within a technology environment.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, IT infrastructure and FinOps approaches that improve cost visibility, optimisation and value realisation.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and governance, with ability to apply policies, standards in a complex organisation.
• Experience managing complex technology contracts, supplier performance, compliance, negotiations and opportunities to improve value for money.
• Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting financial and operational data and translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and influence customers, service providers and technology specialists in a complex environment.
