Job summary

Capstone Recruitment seeks a senior tax professional to lead tax management and strategic advisory for a high-profile property investment and development company. You will own direct and indirect taxes, advise the CFO and Board, and drive tax governance, planning and risk management.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee tax due diligence for M&A, respond to regulatory inquiries, coordinate fund statements and annual returns, and work with external tax advisors to optimise outcomes for

Qualifications

CA/CPA qualified or equivalent tax qualification.
10+ years of tax experience.
Some property development industry experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Completion and ownership of all direct and indirect taxes including income tax, GST, FBT, stamp duty and land tax
Oversight and management of the trust distribution review process to investors including the preparation of fund statements and annual tax returns
Advising the Board and Executive team in relation to any tax law or policy change that may impact the business
Manage tax due diligence and structuring in relation to M&A transactions
Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and submissions
Proactively manage tax risks
Work with external tax advisors
