Capstone Recruitment Group Pty Ltd is seeking a senior tax professional to lead tax management and advisory for a high-profile property investment and development company in Sydney. You will own all direct and indirect taxes and oversee the trust distribution review process for investors, including fund statements and annual tax returns.

You will advise the Board on tax policy changes, manage tax due diligence for M&A, respond to regulatory inquiries, and proactively manage tax risks while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of tax experience.
• Some property development industry experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Completion and ownership of all direct and indirect taxes including income tax, GST, FBT, stamp duty and land tax

About the role

Reporting into the CFO, this role focuses on tax management and strategic advisory for a property investment and development company. You will take ownership of all direct and indirect taxes including income tax, GST, FBT, stamp duty and land tax, and oversee the trust distribution review process to investors including the preparation of fund statements and annual tax returns. You will advise the Board and Executive team in relation to any tax law or policy change that may impact the business, manage tax due diligence and structuring in relation to M&A transactions, assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and submissions, and proactively manage tax risks.
