Director, Accounting & Finance in Sydney is seeking a senior tax leader to own all direct and indirect taxes, including income tax, GST, FBT, stamp duty and land tax. You will oversee the trust distribution review process for investors and prepare fund statements and annual tax returns.

The role requires CA/CPA qualification or equivalent and 10+ years of tax experience, with some property development exposure and strong communication skills.

• Assists with responses to regulatory inquiries and submissions.
• Proactively manages tax risks.
• Coordinates with external tax advisors.

The Role

Reporting into the CFO, the role includes:

• completion and ownership of all direct and indirect taxes including income tax, GST, FBT, stamp duty and land tax
• oversight and management of the trust distribution review process to investors including the preparation of fund statements and annual tax returns
• advising the Board and Executive team in relation to any tax law or policy change that may impact the business
• manage tax due diligence and structuring in relation to M&A transactions
• assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and submissions
• proactively manage tax risks
• work with external tax advisors
