Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Adelaide to drive system engineering activities for the Collins Class ISCMMS upgrade, covering requirements analysis, architecture development, and governance alignment. You will contribute from design through verification, ensuring baselines remain robust under change control.

Key tasks include leading Change Control Boards, coordinating with the customer and stakeholders, and applying Cradle, Jira and IFS tools to deliver complex,

Qualifications

• Education in a relevant engineering or computer science field with defence industry exposure preferred.
• Experience in system engineering processes from requirements to verification and validation.
• Familiarity with change control, governance boards and baseline management.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of system architecture and advise on engineering changes.
• Coordinate and chair Change Control Boards and other governance forums.
• Lead requirements management, high-level derivations, design, integration, test and validation.
• Brief authorities on design changes and technical issues.
• Engage with services to support sustainment and ensure timely delivery.
• Plan and control work packages for deliverables within engineering plans.
• Facilitate discussions with customers, stakeholders and subcontractors.
