Austal, a leading Australian shipbuilder and defence partner, seeks a Systems Engineer for Austal Defence Australia. You will apply structured SE methodologies to deliver outputs meeting Austal standards, ensuring traceability, validation, and controlled documentation across complex defence projects.

You will maintain and manage requirements, lead change processes, and support verification and validation activities while driving continuous improvement of SE tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualification required.
• CPEng eligibility or ability to obtain CPEng.

Responsabilités

• Maintain requirements and project requirements.
• Manage the engineering change process.
• Support Verification and Validation activities.
• Create and maintain Acceptance Test Procedures and Functional Tests.
• Apply SE methodologies for accurate data and auditable docs.
• Ensure data and paperwork are stored and controlled.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail.
• Deliver work of high quality aligned to standards.
• Support creation and delivery of client deliverables.
• Support technical deliverables to achieve system acceptance.
• Drive continuous improvement of SE tools and processes (CAD, PLM, ERP).
• Promote security culture across org and supply chain, with training.
