Job summary
Austal Defence Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the application of Systems Engineering Methodologies across projects and ensure accurate data and documentation. This role focuses on maximizing PLM usage and supporting the integration of Enterprise System Architecture within a defence-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have Defence industry experience, tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering, and a minimum of three years in systems engineering or related
Qualifications
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
- Tertiary qualification in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong expertise in PLM/Configuration Management tools, requirements management, design traceability, and configuration control.
- Proven track record delivering engineering solutions, change management initiatives, and implementation outcomes.
- Experience working within complex projects, quality assurance frameworks, and business improvement processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Systems Engineering Methodologies and the application within the team to deliver Projects
- Lead and apply Systems Engineering methodologies to produce accurate data and documtation
- Maximise PLM system platform adoption and usage
- Lead and apply Systems Engineering methodologies to assist in the integration of Enterprise System Architecture
