Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Battlespace Communications System (BCS) program. You will develop portable secure networking devices for military applications, handling requirements, tests, verification and technical documentation across hardware, software and multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in complex technical development, integration and verification projects.
• Tertiary qualification that satisfies Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing verification and test procedures and reports.
• Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct verification and test activities across environmental, EMC/EMI, safety, human factors and demonstrations.
• Act as test director for verification events at Boeing facilities and external test facilities.
• Develop and maintain system engineering documentation (system specs, SDDs, ICs, FMECA).
• Support Engineering Change Proposals, Software Regression Analysis Reports and artefacts.
• Manage and define system interfaces and boundaries between various systems.
• Ensure engineering scope delivered within cost and schedule constraints and quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team across electronics, mechanical, software, security and technical publications.
