Talenza in Australia is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join a team supporting critical payments and settlement services. You'll manage enterprise Linux environments (RHEL), oversee VMware-based production systems, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement.

You will perform system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and incident resolution, collaborating with technology teams to deliver high-quality support and resilient platforms across Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience administering enterprise Linux environments (RHEL preferred).
• Strong VMware administration and support experience.
• Scripting/automation with Shell or Python.
• Experience in regulated, production-critical environments.

Responsabilités

• Administering and supporting enterprise Linux environments, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Supporting mission-critical production systems with a strong focus on uptime, resilience, and service availability.
• Managing and troubleshooting VMware infrastructure.

We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation to secure an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join a team responsible for supporting critical infrastructure that underpins major payment and settlement services across Australia.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the availability, stability, security, and performance of business-critical systems. You'll work within a production support environment, supporting enterprise Linux platforms, virtualisation technologies, and associated infrastructure while contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Administering and supporting enterprise Linux environments, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Supporting mission-critical production systems with a strong focus on uptime, resilience, and service availability.
• Managing and troubleshooting VMware infrastructure.
• Performing system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and operational support activities.
• Investigating and resolving complex system and infrastructure issues.
• Developing automation and operational efficiencies through scripting and tooling.
• Supporting infrastructure changes, deployments, and platform enhancements.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and technology teams to deliver high-quality support services.
• Contributing to security, performance, and reliability improvements across the environment.

• Strong commercial experience administering Linux environments, ideally RHEL.
• Solid VMware administration and support experience.
• Scripting and automation capability using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, infrastructure, and networking.
• Experience with system upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and operational support processes.
• Ability to work effectively within a highly regulated and business-critical environment.

• Red Hat Clustering, Pacemaker, or other high-availability clustering technologies.
• Financial services, payments, banking, or other mission-critical infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Satellite, Commvault, Azure, M365, or Zscaler.
• Exposure to supporting large-scale enterprise platforms and infrastructure roadmaps.
