Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Senior System Administrator FSR to join our Brindabella Park team in Canberra, supporting Australia’s Defence mission and the JIC System program. The role focuses on on-site system administration, field support, and delivering reliable IT services for complex engineering programs.

As part of 1JDNU, you will resolve system issues, mentor junior staff, and contribute to readiness through training, with travel to support the customer as needed.

Qualifications

• System administration qualifications as a baseline.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent routing & switching knowledge.
• Windows/Domain: MSCA or equivalent.
• VMware: VCP or equivalent.
• SIEM knowledge and experience.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in complex IT system maintenance & administration.
• Experience as Level 2/3 Network Engineer on bespoke networks.
• Willing to undertake interstate travel as required.
• Ability to deliver training and mentor System Administrators.
• Desirable familiarity with radio frequencies, networking, modems, and communications technologies.
• NV2 security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to ADF operators and maintainers.
• Perform maintenance on the JIC System and assist with upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with Defence and Raytheon Australia policies.
• Coordinate travel with the customer when required.
• Train and mentor other System Administrators.
