Job summary

Anthesis APAC seeks a Principal Consultant for the STaR team in Australia to lead complex advisory engagements, oversee delivery, and provide technical leadership across sustainability reporting and strategy.

Based in Australia, you will manage client relationships, mentor consultants, drive business development, and help expand STaR offerings across the region, aligning governance with global frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree in sustainability, finance, enterprise risk management, or governance related field.
• 6+ years in sustainability advisory covering reporting, strategy, risk or governance.
• Experience leading teams and complex projects with global frameworks (GRI, SASB, IR, TCFD, ISSB, ESRS, etc.).
• Ability to guide clients on ASRS or ISSB compliance in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sustainability consulting engagements to scope, deliver and ensure quality on time and on budget.
• Provide senior technical oversight, input, and QA on deliverables.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships as a senior advisor on reporting and strategy.
• Lead business development for mandatory and voluntary sustainability reporting and related topics.
• Mentor senior and junior consultants; contribute to capability building and internal initiatives.
