Job summary

GHD is seeking a Technical Director – Sustainability to lead sustainability strategy development and delivery within our Sustainability Advisory team. Location is flexible across Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, enabling senior client engagement across major markets.

Qualifications

• Environmental engineering, science or similar qualifications, or transferable skills.
• Extensive experience delivering sustainability strategies in key markets.
• Strong focus on business development, client service and delivery.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills for varied audiences.
• Category 2 Registered Greenhouse and Energy Auditor status or working towards this.
• Experience across carbon management and climate risk advisory is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategies and plans.
• Manage complex, engaging projects for a diverse client base.
• Build and strengthen client relationships across existing accounts and new growth areas.
• Identify new opportunities, develop proposals and convert them into successful outcomes.
• Mentor and develop less experienced team members, supporting their growth.
• Represent GHD at key conferences and events to build our brand and position us for future opportunities.
