Job summary

BMD Group is seeking a Senior Surveyor to support major civil infrastructure projects across Sydney. The role focuses on planning survey activities, maintaining survey control, and coordinating with engineering and construction teams to deliver high-quality surveying work on site.

You will lead survey teams, manage data and records, review set-out and as-builts, and ensure QA and safety compliance across projects in the Western Sydney corridor.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction surveying on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead survey teams and coordinate field activities.
• Proficiency with survey equipment including Topcon, Leica or Trimble.
• Strong knowledge of survey control, set-out, as-builts and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate survey activities to support the construction program.
• Lead surveyors and field teams, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.
• Maintain survey control and manage construction data and records.
• Review set-out, as-builts and design geometry; identify issues early.
• Ensure survey works meet QA, WHS and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to resolve field issues.
