Job summary

Sharp and Carter, a family-owned manufacturing business, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner in Sydney to own forecasting and S&OP across product categories. You will manage supplier relationships, place orders, and drive inventory performance within a growing global network. Hybrid work is available, and Australian work rights are required.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product teams, advanced analytics using Excel and Power BI, and mentoring aspiring planners as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in both supply and demand planning.
• Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting across assigned categories and lead the S&OP process to maintain a forward-looking view of demand.
• Communicate with suppliers and factories on product and materials requirements, placing supply and purchase orders and managing external partners.
• Support NPD projects working closely with the product team.
• Drive DIFOT and inventory performance, including reducing and managing SLOB.
• Support planning locally and globally as the business's international network expands.
• Report on performance using Excel, Power BI and other tools, including AI-driven planning and automation tools.
• Contribute to mentoring junior planners, though the role carries no direct reports.

A family-owned manufacturing business, well known for its iconic Australian design, is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their manufacturing team and take ownership of demand and supply planning across their product categories.

About the role

This is an opportunity for someone with strong demand and supply planning experience who's ready to own forecasting, supplier relationships and inventory performance across a global manufacturing network.

What you'll be doing

• Own forecasting across your assigned categories and lead the S&OP process to maintain an accurate, forward-looking view of demand
• Communicate directly with suppliers and factories on product and materials requirements, placing supply and purchase orders and managing external partners
• Support NPD projects working closely with the product team
• Drive DIFOT and inventory performance, including reducing and managing SLOB
• Support planning both locally and globally as the business's international network continues to expand
• Report on performance using Excel, Power BI and other tools, with a genuine appetite for working alongside AI-driven planning and automation tools
• Contribute to the development of junior planners in a mentoring capacity, though this role carries no direct reports
