Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Partner in Melbourne to join our finance team. You will report to the Operations Finance Manager with a strong link to the Head of Finance, becoming a key finance partner across manufacturing, procurement and logistics.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, product costing and supply chain analysis, but the real opportunity lies in driving improvements, challenging processes and delivering cost savings across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience across supply chain, manufacturing or cost accounting.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability.
• Confident partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders.
• Autonomous, proactive and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting and forecasting across supply chain costs.
• Analyse manufacturing, procurement, freight and distribution spend.
• Identify cost drivers, savings opportunities and areas of leakage.
• Partner with operations to turn financial data into clear actions.
• Support inventory, demand planning and S&OP decision-making.
• Improve KPI reporting, dashboards and financial visibility.
• Drive better, more automated finance processes and reporting.

Role

Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, with a strong dotted line to the Head of Finance, this role will become a key finance partner across manufacturing, procurement and logistics.

You will have ownership across budgeting, forecasting, product costing and supply chain analysis, but the real opportunity is what sits around that.

There is plenty to improve. We need someone who can work autonomously, spot issues before they become problems and confidently drive change. You will be encouraged to question existing processes, improve reporting and find opportunities to take cost out of the supply chain.
