Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, focusing on structural casting suppliers. The role covers supplier qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and improvement planning to ensure compliance and excellence.

You will lead root cause analyses and work with design and manufacturing teams on producibility and DFx strategies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in supplier quality management, leadership, and data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management.
• Sub-commodity leadership experience.
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings.
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to drive better first time yield and improved delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability and producibility.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction.
• Present product/ program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize data analysis to support recommendations.
