Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for the Senior Housing Officer, Student Accommodation at the Camden Campus. This full-time, continuing role oversees day-to-day Camden Student Accommodation operations, including Nepean Hall, Nepean Lodge and Nepean Cottages, with oversight of Kingswood and other sites as required.

Reporting to the General Manager, Accommodation Operations, the role supports occupancy, revenue performance, maintenance coordination and stakeholder engagement to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and occupancy planning skills.
• Experience leading sites within accommodation, facilities or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Camden Student Accommodation and support oversight of Kingswood and other allocated sites.
• Monitor occupancy, reservations, revenue performance and operational outcomes to maximise utilisation and service delivery.
• Coordinate applications, bookings, peak accommodation periods and emergency accommodation requirements while ensuring a high standard of customer service and student support.
• Manage maintenance, refurbishment and asset lifecycle activities, including contractor coordination, to ensure assets are maintained to University standards.
• Support financial administration, including revenue reconciliation, journal processing, forecasting, budget preparation, budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Supervise and support site-based staff and work with accommodation providers, contractors and internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
• Support compliance with relevant legislation, University policies, residential agreements and procedures while promoting resident safety and well-being.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through review of accommodation operations, systems and maintenance programs.
