Daracon Group is seeking a highly motivated Structures Project Engineer to join our Hunter Civil Team in the Newcastle region on a permanent basis. You will work across civil and mining infrastructure projects with autonomy and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold a degree in civil engineering.
• Ideally have 4-5 years of experience.
• Experience with TfNSW bridge works and specifications.
• Ability to procure with suppliers and manage scheduling.
• Experience with different formwork systems and temporary works.
• Familiar with ready-mix concrete pumping and placement; B80 training.
• Experience with crane works and heavy lifting.
• Strong organisational and time management in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to program and organise works.
• Budget tracking and cost reporting.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing.
• Ability to coach/mentor less experienced teammates.
• Safety leadership and upholding safety culture.
• Experience on design and construct projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
• Managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes and utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work and resource time management.
• Develop and manage project specific documentation
• Short term construction program management and compliance
• Ensuring quality documentation is captured and compliant
