Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience on Australian mining & industrial projects.
• Modelling of structural, mechanical and platework models and drawings.
• Good knowledge of Australian standards and fabrication principals.
• Good computer skills and proficient with Advance Steel, Prosteel or Tekla.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed schematics that are used in manufacturing and construction.
• Interpret input from engineers, architects, and surveyors and specify dimensions, codes, materials, and production methods.
• Prepare technical drawings for structural steel projects.
• Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches.
• Operate CAD and drafting workstations.
• Make revisions to drawings as requested.
• Mentor modellers and detailers; coordinate work packages and teams.
• Identify anomalies and propose feasible solutions early in the process.
