Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Senior Technical Officer - Structural/Mechanical to join the HATS program in Nowra, NSW. You will provide sustainment engineering support to the EC-135 helicopter fleet and help deliver training for Australian Army and Navy aircrew.

The role requires knowledge of the Australian Defence Force rotary wing environment, structure and capability, and involves collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure airworthiness and compliance with DASR

Qualifications

Requires aviation engineering qualifications or equivalent experience in a structural/mechanical discipline.
Experience in aviation maintenance environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Support continuing airworthiness of the EC-135 helicopter fleet in a multidisciplinary team.
Respond to technical queries from maintenance and support staff.
Perform technical analyses, flight safety reviews, investigations, and develop modifications/repairs for aircraft systems.
Analyse structural and engine data for the structural integrity program.
Interpret Technical Information and generate engineering outputs.
Conduct technical investigations and amendments to aviation publications.
