Senior Structural Engineer – Mineral Processing (Hybrid)

Job summary

Carnac is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to broaden mineral processing plant expertise and become a trusted structural expert for clients from our Perth head office. A flexible 1–2 days per week from home is available.

You will drive projects from concept to completion, manage budgets and schedules, and work with drafting teams while engaging with agencies and stakeholders across the resources sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering (Engineers Australia recognition).
• 5+ years of structural design experience in steel and concrete.
• At least 2 years in mineral processing plants with exposure to materials handling.
• Proficiency in SpaceGass, Strand7 (or equivalent FEA).
• Solid application of Australian Standards AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, AS4600, AS1418, AS1657.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review calculations, design reports, specifications and drawings, supporting drafting and modelling teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary workshops, design reviews and risk assessments.
• Review technical reports, design calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Engage with agencies, authorities and other project stakeholders.
