Job summary

WSP's Building Structures team in Australia seeks an experienced structural engineer to lead design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year projects, delivering quality outcomes for clients and communities.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage scope, program and budgets, and build strong relationships with local clients while coordinating with a national multidisciplinary team. RPEQ or near completion is required, with exposure to ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran.

Qualifications

• Bachelor to Masters' level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• RPEQ qualified or close to completion.
• 8–12 years post graduate industry experience in Australia or NZ building projects.
• Experience with local building sectors (transport, health, data centres, retail, defence).
• Strong client facing consultancy experience and ability to lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year projects.
• Ensure timely, quality delivery aligned with standards, schedules and budgets.
• Manage project scope, programme and budgets.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with a national multidisciplinary team.
• Support and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external clients.
