Job summary

AECOM Australia Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings + Places Structures team. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio across aviation, sport, culture, education, healthcare, and transport; lead structural design and delivery and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on complex building structures.
• Experience delivering structural design projects within a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software including SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, and Structural Toolkit.
• Seismic Structures experience; knowledge of SAP2000, RAM, IdeaStatiCa and Grasshopper is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• NSQEP highly preferred, and Australian Citizenship with defence clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate structural design and delivery across market sectors.
• Prepare and review structural analysis, calculations, reports, specifications and documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, efficient design outcomes.
• Manage deliverables, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
