Job summary

JP Smith Recruitment is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a medium-sized civil/structural practice in Toowoomba. You will lead design work on residential, commercial and industrial projects, and work closely with the principal structural engineer to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will coordinate resources, mentor drafting staff and liaise with external consultants. Proficiency with SPACE GASS, RAPT and REVIT is desirable; ten+ years' experience and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with SPACE GASS is required and knowledge of RAPT/REVIT is desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for stakeholder liaison.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute design works on a range of projects.
• Lead a team of engineering/drafting staff to achieve deliverables.
• Independently sketching layouts/details; coordinate internal resources and external consultants.
