Job summary

Aurecon Group in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Power Transmission and Distribution team. You will oversee structural design across substations, transmission, BESS, solar and wind, and mentor junior engineers.

You will partner with clients to solve complex technical challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help deliver Australia's energy transition through innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• CPEng and RPEQ registration or commitment toward achieving registration.
• Proven experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, with expertise in structural analysis, modelling and foundation design.
• Mentor teams and share knowledge while guiding complex decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience coordinating packages of work and contributing to delivery.
• Passion for innovation and energy transition.

• Work alongside some of Australia's leading transmission and renewable energy specialists on nationally significant energy infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with teams across engineering, advisory, digital and environmental disciplines.
• Mentor and support emerging engineers while building your profile as a technical specialist through industry leadership and structured development.
• Drive high-quality structural designs using leading edge tools, methodologies and best practices.
• Apply advanced engineering analysis to improve performance, efficiency and constructability.
• Deliver complex designs across transmission, substations, renewables and battery storage to support Australia's energy transition.
• Contribute to client relationships and develop your commercial and project delivery skills while working alongside experienced project leaders.
