Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to drive the planning, coordination and delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects across the mining, industrial, utilities and energy sectors.

The role demands Chartered and RPEQ accreditation (or progress toward), strong technical prowess, and the ability to mentor teams while building robust client relationships. You will balance engineering excellence with practical project outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of complex multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, designers and multidisciplinary teams, supporting capability development through coaching and mentoring.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables, including designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality engineering advice for decision-making.
• Manage project resources, discipline work plans, estimates and priorities to support successful outcomes.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and optimisation opportunities across projects and processes.
• Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines to deliver resilient, client-focused solutions.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team culture built on trust and accountability.

• Chartered and RPEQ accredited (or working towards), with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development to detailed design and execution.
• Strong technical capability, commercial awareness and the ability to balance engineering excellence with practical project outcomes.
• A collaborative leadership style, with a track record of mentoring teams and building strong client relationships.
