Job summary

Match Consulting Engineers, a Perth-based civil and structural consultancy, seeks an experienced Structural Engineer with 8+ years in the field. You will prepare and review design calculations, provide guidance to juniors, and deliver complete structural packages for construction and approvals.

You will work with SpaceGass/STAAD.Pro/ETABS and Inducta, with opportunities for site exposure and client liaison in a flexible, growth-oriented team in WA.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 8+ years experience in Structural Consultancy.
• Chartered or working toward chartership (highly regarded).
• Proficient in AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170 and NCC/BCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering documentation, calculations and reports.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Structural modelling and calculation.
• Proficiency in SpaceGass/STAAD.Pro/ETABS and Inducta software.
• Deliver structural design documentation and package for client review, building license and construction.
• Structural inspection and reporting.
• Engage with clients and sub-consultants/contractors.

Match Consulting Engineers is a Perth homegrown civil and structural consultancy which services the building, mining and oil & gas sectors in WA and overseas. We have partners in overseas and set sights on interstate expansion.

Qualifications & experience

Civil / Structural Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia

Strong experience in Steel (Hot Rollerd / LGS) & Reinforced Concrete Design

Proficient in relevant Australian Standards

Essential knowledge of AS 3600 Concrete, AS 4100 Steel, AS 1170 Loading, and NCC/BCA standards is required

8+ years experience in Structural Consultancy

Chartered or working toward chartership (highly regarded)

Tasks & responsibilities

Prepare and review engineering documentation, calculations, and reports

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters

Structural modelling and calculation

Proficiency in SpaceGass / STAAD.Pro / ETABS & Inducta structural engineering software is required

Delivering structural design documentation & package for Client's review, building license and construction

Structural Inspection and Reporting

Excellent engagement skills with both internal and external parties, i.e. Client liaison, managing Sub-consultants/ Contractors

Flexible working arrangements

Leederville location with easy access from freeway, train station and close to CBD.

Monday-Friday role, whilst still getting hands-on site experience with regular travel.
