We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping our customers provide the energy, chemicals and resources society needs now.

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Perth and South-West WA team, supporting a diverse portfolio of resource, energy and infrastructure projects across Western Australia and internationally. Based in either Perth or South-West WA, this role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects spanning mining and minerals processing facilities, energy infrastructure, marine and port facilities, water infrastructure, bridges and heavy industrial structures.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute your structural engineering expertise across studies, detailed design, asset integrity and project delivery, while mentoring emerging engineers and supporting the continued growth of our structural capability across the Perth and South-West WA region.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the delivery of structural engineering scopes across studies, detailed design and project execution phases.
  • Coordinate structural design activities with civil, mechanical, process, electrical and other engineering disciplines.
  • Undertake structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete and other structural systems for industrial, resource and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, scopes of work, datasheets and design documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, designers and drafters.
  • Support site inspections, condition assessments and asset integrity reviews as required.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams across Perth, South-West WA and broader project locations.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, estimates, technical approaches and business development activities.
  • Support the continuous improvement of engineering systems, processes and technical standards.
What You'll Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Typically 8-12+ years' structural engineering experience within the resources, energy, chemicals, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering structural engineering design across feasibility studies, detailed design and project execution phases.
  • Strong technical capability in the design and assessment of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software such as SpaceGass, Strand7, ETABS, SAP2000 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and international design standards and codes.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for developing and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Chartered status (CPEng, RPEQ, NER or equivalent), or progress toward chartership, will be highly regarded.
What We Offer You
  • Flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance.
  • A diverse and inclusive workplace where innovation and collaboration are encouraged.
  • Opportunities to work on major Australian and international projects.
  • Professional development, career progression and technical leadership opportunities.
  • Access to global expertise and a network of industry-leading professionals.
  • Competitive remuneration and employee benefits.
  • Be part of a collaborative Perth and South-West WA team while leveraging Worley's global network of expertise.
