Job summary

Amida Recruit AU is assisting a growing structural engineering consultancy in Sydney to appoint a Senior Structural Design Engineer. The role focuses on leading design and delivery of industrial and commercial projects, with emphasis on structural steel, reinforced concrete and precast elements.

The successful candidate will lead technical design, coordinate engineering and drafting resources, and maintain strong client relationships across the project lifecycle from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar structural engineering role.
• Experience designing structural steel, reinforced concrete and precast structures.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Undertake concept, tender and detailed structural design for industrial and commercial projects.
• Design structural steel, reinforced concrete and precast elements.
• Prepare design details and documentation for drafters and engineers.
• Coordinate with architects, builders, fabricators and consultants.
• Attend client meetings and present engineering solutions.
• Provide technical advice throughout project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and structural assessments and respond to RFIs.
