Job summary

The Department of Government Services – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead critical initiatives within CALG. You will work across the Planning and Performance Branch, build governance structures, manage complex schedules and risks, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

You will bring extensive experience in complex project delivery, governance, and advisory capabilities, and you will mentor others while driving continuous improvement across CALG.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex projects in large organisations.
• Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies and governance.
• Experience establishing and managing governance, planning, risk, dependencies, reporting and assurance.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and senior levels.
• Flexible and proportionate project management approaches according to project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support delivery of complex, high-priority initiatives.
• Establish governance, plans, schedules, risk and issue management, dependencies and reporting.
• Provide authoritative advice to sponsors and executives.
• Identify delivery risks and develop practical options to maintain momentum.
• Contribute to strengthening project management capability across CALG.
