Job summary

Join Suncorp Group’s Vero Specialty Lines as a Senior Underwriter for the Strata portfolio in Sydney. This national role combines technical underwriting expertise with relationship-building, coaching and commercial thinking to drive sustainable growth while collaborating across Distribution, Claims, Pricing & Analytics, Actuarial, Risk Engineering and Reinsurance.

You will coach others, share knowledge, and support development of less experienced underwriters while working in a hybrid Sydney CBD

Qualifications

• At least five years’ Strata underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Strata insurance, underwriting principles, risk appetite and authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate new business, renewals, and mid-term policy adjustments for Strata.
• Apply technical expertise to complex Strata risks and set appropriate terms.
• Build strong broker relationships and deliver a responsive service.
• Support Strata go-to-market and distribution strategies.
• Partner with Risk Engineering, Claims and other teams to deliver positive outcomes.
• Contribute to broker training and industry discussions.
