Job summary

Goulburn Murray Water's Mildura-based Storage Operations team is seeking a Senior Storage Officer to oversee daily operation, maintenance and safety of water storages. The role is site-based, outdoors, and involves overtime when required.

Reporting to the Storage Manager, you will contribute to emergency preparedness, risk mitigation and community engagement, with comprehensive training provided and standby roster participation in the future.

Qualifications

Demonstrated communication skills, including public and stakeholder engagement.
Willingness to undertake and complete multiple training requirements.
Ability to deliver quality and efficient outcomes, applying innovative and continuous improvement solutions.
Knowledge of ANCOLD guidelines and dam safety frameworks.
Experience in emergency preparedness and response.
Experience in storage operations or water industry environments.
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, trade qualification and/or White Card.

Responsibilities

Support the safe operation, monitoring and maintenance of storages and associated infrastructure.
Assist with inspections, surveillance and compliance activities in line with regulatory and dam safety requirements.
Contribute to emergency preparedness and response activities, including risk mitigation and catchment protection.
Engage with community members and stakeholders regarding storage operations and site activities.
