Job summary

Infosys Sydney is seeking a Senior Storage & Backup consultant to lead 24x7 backup and restore operations across enterprise platforms. You will own backup policy, scheduling, retention, testing, and audit evidence, coordinating with Oracle/SQL, storage, and application teams to ensure recoverability and SLA adherence.

The role requires strong incident management, problem solving and ITIL experience, plus excellent communication with customers and offshore teams.

Qualifications

• Lead 24x7 backup and restore operations across enterprise platforms.
• Own backup policy, schedule, retention, and audit evidence management.
• Coordinate with Oracle, SQL, storage, server and app teams for recoverability and SLA.
• Manage incidents, changes, problems and service requests for backup and recovery.
• Drive daily backup health reporting, governance and remediation tracking.
• Support critical restore events, P1/P2 incidents, DR exercises and RCA actions.
• Lead discussions with business teams to understand recovery requirements.
• Ensure accurate configuration, asset and knowledge records in ServiceNow/CMDB.
• Prepare shift rosters for L1 team and ensure 24x7 monitoring coverage.
• Train L1/L2/L3 on backup operations and runbooks; write RFP inputs.
• Drive automation for backup failure triage and evidence extraction.
• It requires experience with ITIL processes; ITIL certification is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong ownership.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and offshore teams.
