Job summary

SunPork Group is Australia’s leading farmer-owned pork producer, seeking multiple Piggery Attendants to join near Echuca, VIC. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be a key player in keeping pigs healthy, happy and well cared for, receiving training and upskilling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pig husbandry and welfare management.
• Strong understanding of piggery operations and production processes.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team of stockpersons.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and decision making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure top notch animal welfare and maintain clean, safe environments.
• Clean and maintain pens and equipment to keep a tidy farm.
• Perform routine animal care: moving, drafting, weighing and handling stock with care.
• Provide medical care and support for sick or injured animals as needed.
• Update records and complete general farm duties as required.

About the Role

This opportunity is responsible for the below:

• Ensure top notch animal welfare - clean, safe and healthy environments are key!
• Cleaning and maintaining pens and equipment - a tidy farm is a happy farm!
• Routine animal care - moving, drafting, weighing and handling stock with care

• Flexibility to work extended hours as required in a farming environment
