Job summary

Halcyon Knights in Nerang, QLD seeks an experienced Advisor (Stakeholder Engagement) to support delivery of major road infrastructure projects across the South Coast Region. You will work with project teams, community groups and stakeholders to deliver engagement strategies, manage relationships and support successful outcomes.

This AO5 contract role is 37.5 hours per week with 2 x 12 month extension options.

Qualifications

Experience in stakeholder engagement, community engagement, communications, public relations or corporate affairs.
Strong written communication skills, including briefing notes and media content.
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience managing competing priorities within a project environment.
Confidence handling sensitive issues and difficult stakeholder conversations.
Infrastructure, transport, construction or government experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Coordinate stakeholder and community engagement activities for infrastructure projects.
Develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Provide strategic communications advice to project teams and managers.
Prepare media releases, ministerial briefings, newsletters, flyers, display materials and speech notes.
Support stakeholder management, issues management and crisis communications activities.
Consult with community groups, stakeholders and industry representatives.
Coordinate launches, media opportunities and engagement events.
Coach and support project teams in stakeholder engagement best practice.
Ensure compliance with governance, legislative and WHS requirements.
