Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Senior SRv6 Network Engineer to support Optus network transformation. You will bring 8+ years in IP/MPLS service provider environments, with hands-on SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, BGP, ISIS, EVPN/VXLAN and QoS skills. This is a contract role based in Sydney, Australia.

Ideal candidates will have carrier-grade backbone experience, RBAC/incident RCA exposure, and a strong drive to modernize and optimize large-scale networks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IP/MPLS service provider networks experience.
• Strong hands-on SRv6 (Segment Routing IPv6) expertise.
• Experience with EVPN/VXLAN and traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support Optus network transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Provide design input for carrier-grade backbone networks and migration programs.
