Job summary

The role focuses on design, validation and migration of SRv6/MPLS, IPv6, EVPN/VXLAN, and related backbone improvements, with L3 troubleshooting and RCA responsibilities. Experience in 8+ years and carrier-grade environments is required. LOCATION: Australia-based client work possible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IP/MPLS service provider networks.
• Senior hands-on engineering in carrier-grade backbone, transformation, migration and L3 support.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate and support SRv6/MPLS and IPv6 network solutions.
• Support backbone transformation and migration activities; provide L3 escalation support.
• Perform RCA for critical incidents; contribute to traffic engineering, QoS and service reliability improvements.

Role Summary:

Senior network engineering role supporting Optus network transformation and modernisation initiatives, with deep SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, routing, EVPN and service provider network expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, validate and support SRv6/MPLS and IPv6 network solutions; support backbone transformation and migration activities; provide L3 escalation support; perform RCA for critical incidents; contribute to traffic engineering, QoS and service reliability improvements.

Mandatory Skills / Experience:

SRv6, MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, Traffic Engineering, QoS, carrier-grade backbone networks, transformation and migration programs, L3 troubleshooting and RCA.
